Client Reviews
“Roseland 1962 detached, original galley kitchen with a load-bearing wall nobody told us about. Their in-home assessment caught it before the quote. They installed a flush LVL beam, opened the kitchen to the dining room, and ran Caesarstone countertops throughout. City of Burlington permit pulled and closed without a delay. Fixed price held.”
“Millcroft 2003 executive, builder kitchen that embarrassed us every time we entertained. Full gut renovation: Cambria quartz island with waterfall edge, ceiling-height two-tone cabinets, Lutron dimmer system. NKBA designer's layout was exactly right. Halton permit was on schedule and the install crew was clean and professional.”
“Burlington waterfront custom home, large kitchen with views we weren't using. They redesigned the entire layout to face the lake - new plumbing position, Dekton island surface, integrated Fisher & Paykel panel. The Halton permit was complex and they handled every revision without complaint.”
Local expertise
Burlington is a lakeside city in Halton Region, Ontario, sitting on Lake Ontario between Oakville to the east and Hamilton to the west, 45-55 minutes from downtown Toronto via the QEW and Highway 403. Toronto Kitchen Renos has been renovating kitchens across Halton Region and the wider GTA for more than 15 years. Kitchen renovation permits here are filed with the City of Burlington Building Department, a separate process from both Oakville and Hamilton, and review for structural residential work runs 4-6 weeks. Our team prepares the drawings and the application for you.
Burlington's housing stock is notably varied. Roseland and Shoreacres, south of New Street near the lake, have some of the most desirable post-war and mid-century homes in the Halton market - fully detached 1950s-70s builds with generous room proportions but kitchens designed for a different cooking era. These homes regularly attract full gut renovations with Caesarstone or Cambria quartz countertops, ceiling-height custom cabinetry, and island additions that require the original peninsula or partial wall to come out.
North Burlington subdivisions - Millcroft, Orchard, and Tyandaga - have newer executive homes with larger kitchens but builder-grade finishes, and Brant Hills and Palmer, closer to Burlington Mall and Guelph Line, add 1970s-80s detached homes and semi-detached houses ready for their first full kitchen remodel. The most common upgrade in these areas: swap laminate for quartz, replace flat-panel builder cabinets with shaker-style custom builds, install a proper island with BLUM Movento soft-close drawers, and bring the lighting up with Lutron-controlled LED pot lights.
Aldershot, along Plains Road and bordering the Royal Botanical Gardens, has a mix of older bungalows, infill builds, and homes being renovated for resale near Aldershot GO Station. We see a higher proportion of complete kitchen reconfiguration projects here - moving plumbing to a new island position and changing the layout to face a garden view is a recurring Aldershot request.
The Burlington waterfront, near Spencer Smith Park and Lakeshore Road, has seen significant custom home development alongside downtown condo towers off Brant Street. Lakefront builds specify Dekton ultra-compact surfaces for the island and perimeter countertops, and integrated appliance panels for Sub-Zero or Fisher & Paykel refrigeration. For downtown condo kitchens, we handle board approvals, elevator booking, and noise-hour scheduling.
Every Burlington project starts with design. Our NKBA kitchen designers handle space planning, the layout drawings, and interior design choices - cabinet door style, colour palette, hardware finish, and the lighting plan - before anything is ordered. Many Burlington clients also add a bathroom renovation to the same contract, managed by the same team.
Based on 2026 pricing, a small kitchen refresh in Burlington runs $15,000-$25,000, a mid-range full renovation $25,000-$50,000, and a high-end custom renovation with layout changes $50,000-$100,000+. Every project is quoted on a fixed-price contract that covers labour, materials, permits, and disposal.
